MAPK3 — NF1

Pathways - manually collected, often from reviews:

  • OpenBEL Selventa BEL large corpus: MAPK3 → NF1 (decreases, NF1 Activity)
Evidence: IMR90 and BJ fibroblasts were infected with a retrovirus that expresses the catalytic GAP-related domain (GRD) of neurofibromin. Expression of this domain has previously been shown to decrease Ras-GTP levels (Hiatt et al., 2001; Johannessen et al., 2005). Consistent with these findings, GRD expression resulted in a significant decrease in the activation of AKT and ERK (Figure 3D) and induced senescence in both IMR90 and BJ cells (Figure 3E)

Text-mined interactions from Literome

Koivunen et al., Arch Dermatol Res 2005 (Neurofibromatosis 1) : Type 1 neurofibromatosis syndrome ( NF1 ) has been linked with mutations of the NF1 gene which encodes tumor suppressor neurofibromin , a regulator of Ras-MAPK signaling
Mori et al., J Biol Chem 1995 (Cell Transformation, Neoplastic) : In human embryonic kidney (HEK) 293 cells, the mutant NF1-GRDs attenuated the stimulation of mitogen activated protein kinase by Ras ( G12V ), but not by platelet derived growth factor
